Deer head for Amanda
Small enough to fit in a modern home big enough to make a statement. They are approximately 30cm deep, 50cm wide and 80cm tall depending on the size and shape of the antlers used. Wooden frame, selection tartans/tweeds, real fallow deer antlers, faux leather, glass eyes. Fabric fallow is fabric taxidermy – each’head’ consists of a wooden frame covered in genuine tweed or other quality heavy fabric, some have glass eyes other seem better suited without eyes. They are then finished with genuine deer antlers. Antlers are an amazing natural structure, each year a male deer will shed (or cast) last years antlers and grow a new bigger set in approximately 12 weeks. I have a selection of tweeds to choose from in various colours, if you have a particular colour scheme in mind fabrics can be sourced or if you have scottish heritage, a head in your family tartan would make an excellent gift for a family member or as a wedding present.
